Mr. Probert was selected as a Jordan Education Foundation Teacher of the Year!  Not only was he chosen as our school winner, but he is also one of the top 10 educators chosen to attend a special banquet in April.  Congratulations Mr. Probert!  This recognition is well-deserved.

We are excited to announce that Fort Herriman is proudly sponsoring Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month this February! CTE Month is a public awareness campaign that celebrates the value of CTE and the achievements and accomplishments of CTE programs across the country.

CTE plays a vital role in developing our students' skills and directing their career paths. It provides them with the technical knowledge and real-world experience they need to succeed in today's evolving job market.

To celebrate this important event, we have planned a series of activities throughout the month:

  • Week 1 - Academic Achievement: Showcase your academic progress to any CTE teacher, either before or after school. Let your grades demonstrate your success.
  • Week 2 - Career Couture: Dress up in the attire of your chosen career. Share with your CTE teacher about the profession you're representing.
  • Week 3 - School Service: Undertake a service project for the Fort. Capture your service in action through a photo or video, and share it with a CTE teacher.
  • Week 4 - Future Course Exploration: Discuss your CTE course choices for the upcoming year with a CTE teacher, either before or after school. Let's plan your academic journey together.

In addition, CTE is sponsoring grade-level assemblies throughout the month, select students have been invited to participate in field trips and industry tours, and there will be an after-school baking competition on February 8.

We encourage all students, parents, and staff to participate in these events, learn more about the value of CTE, and celebrate the significant role it plays in preparing our students for successful careers.

Let's come together to celebrate CTE Month, and here's to empowering the future of our students!
