Parents & Students,

Fort Herriman Counseling Center wants to invite you to our biggest event of the

year, which is the College &Career Fair. This fair will be held on Thursday March 30th

from 5:30-7:30 in the FHMS Gymnasium. We will have six different college

representatives to answer questions and give out information about their schools. We will

also have reps from the JATC and Utah Education Savings Plan. We have eight different

college and career themed games, prizes donated from different colleges, and a cotton

candy machine. Everyone is invited from elementary students to grandparents, so bring

out the entire family to have fun and help your student become college and career ready.

The last day to purchase a Memory Book is on Friday, March 3.  Please see the flier attached below for more information.

Tryouts for the Herriman Sophomore and Freshmen teams are going to be held on Monday, February 27th. Please keep an eye out on the Herriman High Baseball Facebook page and the school website for tryout times and details. Also plan ahead for the weather and adjust accordingly.

All 9th graders interested in participating in track and field at Herriman High School should attend a meeting in the Tech Atrium on Wednesday, February 8 at 6:00 PM.  Both parents and students are invited to the meeting.

Student-Led Conferences will be held at Fort Herriman Middle School on Wednesday, February 15th and Thursday, February 16th. During the conferences, students will present a portfolio of their work from the beginning of the semester.  They will also be setting goals for themselves and are preparing to present their progress to you.  The students will be conducting their scheduled Student-Led Conference during the first 15 minutes of the hour of your appointment in their TA classroom.

To schedule an appointment, please reference the pink flier sent home with students last Friday or review the instructions linked here.  The window to sign up for an appointment is from Monday, January 30th through Friday, February 10th.

Incoming 7^th Grade: An orientation meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 8^th in the FHMS Auditorium. There will be two sessions held at 4:30 and again at 5:30. Please choose whichever session bet fits your schedule. Online Registration will be available beginning that night. An immunization clinic will also be available from 4:30 until 6:30.

Incoming 8^th Grade: Information regarding registration will be given out to the incoming 8^th grade students during their pod classes on Friday, February 10^th . Online Registration will be available beginning that night.

Incoming 9^th Grade: An orientation meeting will be held on Thursday, February 2^nd in the FHMS Auditorium. There will be two sessions held at 4:30 and again at 5:30. Please choose one session. Counselors will present information necessary to help students choose classes as well as answer any questions. Online Registration will become available that night.

All Course Requests will be due by Thursday, February 16^th

Valentine Candy Grams will be sold in the cafeteria during lunches on January 31, February 1, and February 2.  For more information, please see the filer linked below.
